Racking systems are designed and built to support specific weights.  The capacity of a racking system is usually measured at a number of levels, which include:

  • At the bay level within the racking system
  • At the pair of beams levels
  • At the individual or unit level (pallet)

All racking systems should be loaded according to their load rating.  This load rating and other important information will be on the load notice board (LNB) that is attached to the racking system.
